Momentum

Momentum
was is five-week journey focused on moving from passive faith to active trust in God. We learned how God guides our steps, shapes us through wilderness seasons, reveals Himself through personal encounters, and calls us to use our strengths for His purposes. Each week invited us to say “yes” to God’s leading and take a next step toward a faith that is lived out with courage, obedience, and community.

2025 ANNUAL REPORT

Annual meeting: Sunday, February 8 - 12PM

Join us for the Central Lutheran Annual Meeting as we celebrate all that God has done in our church this past year and look ahead with faith and expectation to what He is preparing in 2026. It’s a meaningful opportunity to reflect on His faithfulness, give thanks for His work among us, and come together as a church family to seek His vision for the future.

  • When Jesus entered Jerusalem riding a donkey, His triumphant arrival marked a glorious fulfillment of prophecy (Zechariah 9:9). Jesus was officially presenting Himself to the nation of Israel as their king. The people both expected and desired a Messiah to rescue them from their political troubles. They sought someone who would save them from what they viewed as their most significant issue—the Romans! That’s why they shouted, “HOSANNA!” which means “Save us!” “Save us from Rome!” God orchestrated far greater freedom than the people expected, and this is the focus of our Palm Sunday services.

  • When you attend the Maundy Thursday service at Central, you will witness many of our students receive their First Communion. As they celebrate, we will all contemplate the bread and wine and what they represent in our lives, remembering that Jesus died “in our place” and “for” our sins so we can live free now and for eternity.

  • Crucifixion was a horrible way to die. It was a slow, suffocating death. Jesus was nailed to a wooden cross, where he remained for six hours. While this outrageous injustice was perhaps the greatest scandal in human history, this is not the end of the story. This is the message of Good Friday. This was all for Love. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13) Jesus, the righteous, was forsaken in our place. Why? So that we would never be. Jesus faced the Father as a judge so that we can approach God for mercy without fear and call Him “Abba, Daddy,” a term of endearment, affection, and love. Our Good Friday service is a time to place our trust in Jesus and in what He did by giving His life for us on the cross.

    • 7:30 am Traditional Service.

    • 9:30 am and 11 am Modern Services.

The resurrection of Jesus teaches us that He is precisely who He claimed to be: the Christ, the very Son of God (Mark 1:1). God says to each of us on Easter: “You matter to Me. I understand everything about your life. I know you. I made you. I want to have a relationship with you. I sent My Son to die for you. I raised Him up. I did all of this to make a restored relationship with you possible. I want you to get to know Me.” That’s what Easter is all about. God knows you. He wants you to know Him. For all who place their hope in Him, Easter changes everything. We hope you will celebrate with us at Central!
